I'm pretty sure nobody's going to read this. Not now, at least. Yet I had to put it on words somewhere.

All this time I've been adding people to my deviant watch list while unchecking the "friend" option.

Is that I don't want to make friends?

I'm not going there now, but the true reason is that I find it awkward to label someone who I've never crossed to words with as a friend, just because I like his/her drawings/photos/writings.

Please don't misunderstand me! I don't find it awkward to myself! It's completely the other way around. If I were making pretty pictures, and people would tag me as their friend just because they like them... well, I've read lots of comments that make their authors sound more like fanboys than friends.

I don't want to be a fanboy. I respectfully admire people with greater talent than mine.

I've always been socially awkward. So the best way I've found to live is to respect people around me. That way I also get some respect and therefore we achieve peace.

That's the reason.
